Grigio, is it? Well met, then, after a fashion given you're not actively there at the moment. [ He clears his throat, getting back on track. ] Anyway, there are healers that wish to investigate those of us that have returned from that other plane of existence. Interested?

[She answers a bit later. It takes her a moment to find the phone and get back to the kid, but she does with some help.]

Yeah. Hey. Hi. I'm interested. Who's trying to help?

[ He'd been right on hand so it's not going to turn into a game of voicemail tag, at least. ]

A rather ill-mannered doctor by name of McCoy has some questions, but he suggested Mistress Bianca as an option for... whatever it is they intend to do. I don't understand how mundane healers work, truthfully.

[He's earning points in her book. Anything that'll help her get some god damn answers an maybe find a solution is a good thing.]

I know McCoy.

[She met him when he was a she.]

Miss Bianca. Okay. I'll try to find her.

They'll probably want to draw a bit of blood and run some tests. It's what they do.

Blood? [ Well, now he knows he's not going to humor the humans. ] Well, good luck with that. If their investigations net anything, would you be of a mind to let me know?

Sure is! I’ve got a lot of catching up to do. [Nothing like losing everything to make her realize what she took for granted.]

But you’re still blind, huh? [She knew the answer to that and didn’t wait for it to come.] I know someone who can help make it a little easier, we can head over to your place anytime if want.

Korra, I'm happy to hear that. [A pause. Her tone changes some.]
Blind as a bat, yeah.

[She'll try to not sound too down from it. It's barely a success but then Korra's next words catch her attention and she perks up a bit.]

Yeah? Who? I'm home now. Just putting dishes away.

[She figured out how to do so without smashing any.]

[How did she not break- Korra decides not to dwell on it. It’s good that she’s doing things on her own and not needing constant supervision.]

Oh, you’ve already met. [She’s obviously having fun with this. He voice changes in volume as she turns her to ask:] Haven’t you?

[A loud, happy bark answers.] If you’re home now, we can be there in no time.

[Very carefully. It involves tassels, moving with caution and a lot of praying that dear god if this is her favorite coffee cup may it please not end up on the god damned floor IT'S IN THE CABINET FUCK YES!]

Hi, Naga!

[Julie laughs slightly, a grin in her voice.]

How's Naga gonna help? Don't you need her? I mean, I'm not saying no to the beautiful polar bear dog's help, not at all. I'm just curious.

[There's a loud sniffing noise, and it quiets as Korra pushes Naga's nose away from the console.]

Yeah, we always need each other. [There's a strong connection between them that Korra couldn't put into words.] But she's gotta do her share of helping too. She can get you to and from the fishing shop and anywhere in between. Naga can find any place in the city now that I've taken her everywhere.

Trust me, she's not a help at all when I take her fishing. [Some fish tend to mysteriously disappear.]

[All of this makes Julie chuckle for so many good reasons. For one, Naga is always entertaining. She's also relieved that she has extra help getting to and from work. She always worries that she's making Raleigh late to construction or whoever else that happens to be helping her is inconvenienced. She hates feeling like a burden.

But Naga belongs at the shop, in Julie's opinion, and it's only for a little while. Right?]

Korra, thank you. You have no idea how much help this will be. I appreciate this so much. You're really a fantastic friend, you know that?

[It took a moment for Korra to let that sink in and she gave a warm, genuine smile that flowed through her words.]

Thanks, I'm glad I could do something. She'll keep you out of the snow, and, well, she knows where her food barrel is at the shop. We'll be there soon so I can drop her off.

[Korra hangs up and about eight minutes later, Korra’s at the door with the largest seeing eye polar bear dog in any existence. Grabbing the dogs cheek, Korra nuzzles her forehead against hers.]

Listen to Julie and keep her safe, okay Naga? [After a bark and a lick to her face, Korra grins and knocks on the door.]

[Julie was already downstairs waiting, so the bark is her cue to start for the door. It's opened a few short seconds after Korra knocks and Julie's grinning.]

Hi, Korra! Hello, Naga! [A pause.] Think she'll fit in the suite? The first floor is pretty big. It might be a bit tight for her.

She's got plenty in mine, but the Metal Sector's kind of roomy.

[Not a big surprise considering it and Fire are neck and neck for being the wealthiest sector in Keeliai.]

Just send her home before you go to bed so I can take her saddle off. [Handling the donning and doffing of the saddle might be complicated for someone who's not used to be being blind.]
